A silhouette is when a picture has no color in the main point of the picter. Sillowets have been around since the mid-18th century but the term “silhouette” was used until the early 19th century. Silhouette images can be made in any artistic media, but cutting portraits from black card is the oldest.

The term "silhouette" has been used to describe the picture of a person, object or scene that is backlit, or appears dark against a lighter background. The word has also been used to describe fashion and fitness to describe the shape of a person's body or the shape created by wearing close from a certain style or period of time.

Cubism started in the 20th century by Pablo Picasso  and it revolutionized European paintings and sculptures s. In cubism art the picture is broken up, and re-assembled in an abstracted form. Usually the surface squares intersect at random angles. One of cubism's characteristics is how  the background and squares intercross one another to create a shallow space.  Historians have wanted to look at the history of cubism in phases.

Commercial photography is when a photographer takes pictures for money and when it is for businesses magazines advertisements, corporate publications, brochures, and restaurant menus or other things like that. Commercial photography involves someone that wants to sell or promote something that they need to have a picture of. There are many types of commercial photography like when a business is trying to sell things like a car or a couch. Some businesses need aerial photography to show the item from above. Architectural photography used by builders and architects.   
Photos of food are used in fast food menus and in culinary magazines. The most popular type of Commercial photography is fashion photography in magazines, billboards, on TV and other places.
