Negative photography is when the subject is on a plain background. Negative space emphasizes your picture by directing your eyes to the subject and gives them a place to rest.

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. It is a way to digitally develop your pictures with information that’s in multiple exposures of the same shot.  You use certain methods  that allow a geater dynamic range of luminance from the brightest and darkest picture. Because the dynamic range is wider in hdr pictures they can show more intensity that a real normal picture.

Lines are able to capture your eye and direct your attention to the photo. A line that curves into the photo will catch your eye more than a curve that leaves the photo.  Lines are important for making a good photo to attract attention. There are six different types of lines and curves. Leading lines will lead your eye in to the picture and to the main subject. The s curve is a curve that goes one way then curves the other way like an s. a river or stream are good examples of these. Diagonal lines go across the photo and can be made by tilting the camera.

A pun is a play on words that makes something seem like something else. There are 7 types of puns, homophonic pun, homographic pun, heteronymic puns, Homonymic, compound pun, recursive pun, and graphological puns. Puns are used for jokes,  literature and designation.
